Why I decided to become and independent hearing dispenser.
I love what I do; you know the saying, “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life”? Well, that is me, I take pride in my work, and I enjoy helping people to improve their quality of life. It will be 10 years May 1st 2024 that I started my own business and I still feel that way.
I’ve made a few changes in the past ten years. I’ve become a provider for several insurances. There are many insurances that now help with the cost of hearing aids. That was not the case ten years ago. I’ve opened a full-time office, which offers more flexibility in scheduling, and I am able to see more patients. If you have supplemental insurance to your Medicare, you probably have a hearing aid benefit. But in order to use that benefit, you must go to a provider. I am a provider for most.
Most people wait a long period of time to get help for their hearing. Sometimes it’s the price, I can help you with that. There are affordable options. Sometimes it's vanity, hearing aids can be very discreet, again there are lots of options. Sometimes is knowledge. Come in for a hearing consultation; you are under no obligation if you are not ready. It is a commitment, and you have to be ready. The adjustment period for getting used to your new hearing aids is different for everyone. The key to adjusting quickly is wearing your hearing aids on a regular basis and working with your specialist.
Thank you!
